'Man's Best Friend': Sabrina Carpenter's Album Takes a Bite Out of the Music World

Oh my god, you want all the deets on Sabrina Carpenter's new album, Man's Best Friend?! I got you, bestie, I've been obsessing over it since it dropped. Seriously, my Spotify is just on a loop of "House Tour" right now. It's so good. Okay, so here's everything you need to know, but like, don't mind me if I get a few little things mixed up, I'm just a normal human being with a brain full of pop-culture thoughts.

Release Date: It's Here!

The album, Man's Best Friend, was just released! The official date was August 29, 2025. I swear, it feels like we were waiting forever, but I guess it was only, what, a little over a year since her last album, Short n' Sweet came out? I mean, she's working fast! I think I read somewhere that she started writing this one right after the last one came out, which is like, insane. Girl needs a nap.

The Whole Vibe

Okay, so the title, Man's Best Friend, is obviously super clever. At first, I was like, "Is she doing a whole album about her dog?" But then you listen to the songs and you realize it's all a big metaphor. She's basically talking about men and how they treat women like... well, like they're their loyal dog. It's so funny, and also kind of sad? She's singing about being the loyal one, but also being kind of over it. The whole album has this amazing sound, too. It's got that classic Sabrina pop sound but with some new stuff thrown in. I'm hearing some disco vibes, some 70s rock, and even a little country twang on the first track. It's so good.

The Tracklist

OMG, the tracklist is a masterpiece. The titles are so iconic. Here is the full list of songs on the album:

"Manchild"

"Tears"

"My Man on Willpower"

"Sugar Talking"

"We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night"

"Nobody's Son"

"Never Getting Laid"

"When Did You Get Hot?"

"Go Go Juice"

"Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry"

"House Tour"

"Goodbye"

My favorites are probably "Tears" and "My Man on Willpower." "Tears" is like, so relatable. She's singing about being turned on by a man doing the dishes, and I'm like, YES. EXACTLY. And "My Man on Willpower" is just so catchy, I've been humming it all day. I'm pretty sure she's singing about her ex, what's his face, the actor from that movie Saltburn? Yeah, Barry K-something. He's so hot, I can't believe they broke up!

The Album Art

The album art is also amazing, but it caused a lot of drama online, which is so stupid. It shows her on her hands and knees with a guy's hand in her hair, and a lot of people were like, "OMG, it's so degrading!" But she's clearly being satirical and making a statement, you know? The second picture shows a dog collar with the album title on it, which just drives the whole "man's best friend" point home. I don't get why people have to be so serious all the time. Can't we just appreciate the art?

The Tour

She also announced a tour! I'm pretty sure I saw dates for October and November. She's playing at Madison Square Garden like, a bazillion times, and then she's doing some other cool spots. I'm not sure if I can get tickets, they're probably already sold out, right? My bank account is crying just thinking about it.

So yeah, that's everything I know about Man's Best Friend. It's a certified banger, and you should go listen to it right now if you haven't already! Don't listen to the haters.
