Woah, what a week for superhero fans in India! Just when you thought you'd binged everything, BAM! Two big ones drop. First, we got that new Superman movie, you know, the one with the new guy, what's his name, David Corenswet? And now, Marvel's finally, finally bringing Thunderbolts to the small screen here. It's like the universe is telling us to just stay inside with a big bowl of popcorn.

So, let's break it down.
The First Big One: DC's Superman on OTT
First, there was a big fuss about the new Superman movie. The one from James Gunn, the guy who did Guardians of the Galaxy. Everyone was all excited about it, and it did pretty well in theaters, but let's be honest, it's always better to watch these things at home on your giant TV. Or at least my TV, which I think is a 55-inch, but it could be 65, I forget. Anyway, the movie is out on Amazon Prime Video. BUT, and this is the important part, you can't just watch it with your regular subscription. You have to rent it or buy it. I think it's like ₹499 to rent and ₹799 to buy. A little pricey, but what are you gonna do, right? The good news is, you can watch it in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and English, so that's pretty cool. I mean, my Hindi is not the best, so I'll probably stick to English with subtitles, but it's a nice option.
And Now, the Marvel Show: Thunderbolts!
But for me, the real deal is Thunderbolts. I've been waiting for this one forever. It's not about the usual heroes; it's about the... well, the bad guys, I guess? Or the anti-heroes. The cast is just brilliant, with Florence Pugh as Yelena and that other guy, Bucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan. And of course, David Harbour, who is just a funny dude, as Red Guardian. They're all on this weird mission put together by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who I just love. She's hilarious.
The best part is, Thunderbolts is finally on an Indian streaming platform. After all the chatter, it's here! You can watch it on JioHotstar. And you don't even have to pay extra, you just need a regular subscription. That's a huge relief, because my wallet is still crying from buying that new PlayStation game last week. Oh, and it's also available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. So yeah, everyone can get in on the action.
The movie, to be honest, didn't do so hot at the box office. People were saying it was a bit underwhelming, but the critics actually liked it. I think it got something like an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is pretty good for a Marvel movie these days, right? I heard it's a bit more serious and character-focused, which I'm all for. It's nice to see some of the secondary characters get the spotlight instead of just Iron Man and Captain America all the time.
So, yeah, in short, it's a great week for movie lovers. First, you get the new Superman for a price, and then Thunderbolts drops for free (well, with a subscription, you know what I mean). Time to cancel all plans and just have a movie marathon. Just don't forget the popcorn. Or the samosas, if you're feeling a bit more... Indian. Heh.
