Okay so, I finally got around to watching this show that everyone on Instagram was talking about. You know, the one with Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty? Yeah, that's the one. It's called "Do You Wanna Partner" but I keep typing "Do You Want a Partner" by mistake, which I guess is the whole point of the show's name, LOL. It's on Prime Video, I think it came out today actually. My friend told me it was out and I was like "Finally!"

The show is about these two friends, Shikha (Tamannaah) and Anahita (Diana), who decide to start a beer company. I mean, two women in the beer business? That's kinda cool, right? Tamannaah's character, Shikha, is doing it because of her dad's old dream, and Diana's character, Anahita, just gets fed up with her job. I can totally relate to that, my boss is a real pain. Anyway, they face all these problems, like people not taking them seriously because they're girls. So they invent a fictional male partner named "David Jones." It's a pretty funny idea.
They end up hiring an old actor to play this fake guy, and Jaaved Jaaferi plays him. He was really good, I liked his parts the best. He has this silly wig and a little memory issue, which makes it even funnier. There's also this bad guy, Vikram Walia, who looks like a villain from a superhero movie with his hair. He's trying to stop them, obviously.
The show is supposed to be a comedy, but it feels more like a light drama sometimes. There are funny moments, but then it gets all serious and emotional, especially when the girls start fighting. It's a bit of a rollercoaster. I mean, one minute you're laughing, the next you're thinking "oh no, are they going to break up their friendship?!". I was worried for a bit there.
The acting is okay, I guess. Tamannaah is great, she's all full of energy. Diana Penty's character is more serious, so she doesn't get to do much, but she plays the role well. Nakuul Mehta is in it too, but he's not in it much. His character is a little weird, a brewmaster who gets a bit obsessed, but that's what makes it interesting I suppose. And Rannvijay Singh plays the boyfriend who is just too nice, it's almost annoying how supportive he is. Like, nobody's that perfect.
I have to say, the series felt a bit slow in the middle. I almost gave up, but then the last two episodes got really exciting! There were some big betrayals and secrets coming out, and it actually felt like something was happening. The ending kind of leaves it open for a second season, which I guess is what they do with these shows now.
Overall, it's not the best show ever, but it's not the worst either. It’s got a good message about friendship and women entrepreneurs, which is cool. It could have been better, maybe with more focus on the business part or more funny jokes, but it's a decent watch for a weekend. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars. The ending saved it from being a total disaster. I think they tried to do too much, you know? Like, it's a comedy-drama-women-empowerment-start-up story, and it's just a bit confusing.
