Okay, so on day 6, which was a Wednesday, The Bengal Files didn't do so hot. Like, the numbers really went down. According to a bunch of reports I saw (and let's be honest, they're always a little different, it's just how it is), the film's earnings were somewhere in the ₹64 lakhs to ₹88 lakhs range. I think a lot of them are calling it an "early estimate" so the final number might be a little different, but it's definitely under ₹1 crore.
This is a pretty big drop from the weekend, which, if I recall correctly, was pretty okay. It was something like a jump on Saturday and Sunday, but then on Monday it just kind of... fell off a cliff. The total collection for the movie after six days is now somewhere between ₹9.82 crore to ₹10.25 crore. It finally passed the ₹10 crore mark, which is good, but it's not a huge milestone for a film with a reported budget of ₹50 crore.
Basically, the weekday blues hit this movie hard. It's competing with other movies, like that new Baaghi one and a horror movie, and it looks like those are doing way better. It's a real shame, 'cause I was kind of looking forward to seeing it. But you know how it is with movies, some just don't catch on with everyone.
