Years after ending her marriage with actor Sohail Khan, Seema Sajdeh has finally opened up about what actually led to their split and how life has been since. The couple, who tied the knot way back in 1998, offically ended things in 2022. They have two sons, Nirvaan and Yohaan, and are still co-parenting them together.

In a recent interview with Usha Kakade Productions, Seema talked about how age and personal growth slowly pushed them apart. Looking back, she said both her and Sohail were super young when they got married and didn't really get how people change over time.
"We were both very young when we got married. I was only 22," she said. "As we got older, we grew in different directions. Our thoughts changed. Eventually, we realized we were better friends than a husband and wife."
Seema added that the decision to separate wasn't made in a rush. According to her, having peace at home was more important than staying together and being miserable.
"It was better to separate than to fight every day. We didn't want to spoil the vibe at home. Khit-pit se acha hai we separated. We split up amicably, but only as a couple. To this day, we are still a family. He is the father of my kids, and that will never change," she shared.
She also got real about the emotional toll the divorce took on her and the kids. She admited it wasn't an easy time and it took a while to heal from it all.
"No woman dreams about or manifests a divorce. I did go into depression. And my kids probably did too. It took us several years to come to this conclusion. We were waiting for the right time, especially for the sake of our children," she said.
When she was asked who made the final call, Seema made it clear there's no blame game happening.
"That is very unfair. A relationship takes two people. Both are responsible for making it work, or not. We never took this decision lightly. We mostly did it with our kids in mind. We were just kids ourselves when we got married, and it wasn't anyone's fault," she concluded.
