Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Teaser Under Fire: AAP Files Complaint with Karnataka Women’s Commission

So, basically, the whole "Rocking Star" Yash fan club is in a bit of a tizzy right now because his upcoming movie, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, has run into some legal trouble.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) women's wing filed a formal complaint with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission (KSWC) just yesterday (January 12, 2026). Honestly, I didn't think a teaser would cause this much of a mess, but here we are!

Why is everyone upset?

The drama started after the teaser came out on January 8, which was actually Yash's 40th birthday (nice gift, right?).

The Content: The AAP leaders, led by State Secretary Usha Mohan, are saying the teaser has "obscene and explicit" visuals. Specifically, there's a scene involving Yash and a woman in a car that people are calling out for being way too suggestive.

The "Impact": The complaint says these scenes are bad for the "social well-being" of women and kids. They also argued that releasing this without any age warning is a big no-no and that it insults Kannada culture.

The Demands: They aren't just complaining; they want the teaser banned and scrubbed from all social media platforms immediately.

What's happening now?

The Women's Commission didn't just sit on it. They’ve already written to the CBFC (the Censor Board) asking them to look into it and take "appropriate action."

Interestingly, a social activist named Dinesh Kallahalli also filed a complaint with the Censor Board, saying the teaser violates constitutional limits on free speech because it's "grossly obscene."

The Director's Side

The director, Geetu Mohandas, who is usually known for very different kinds of films, has been getting some heat. Critics are calling her out for "objectifying women" despite her being a vocal feminist in the past. She posted a cryptic Instagram story basically saying she’s "chilling" while everyone tries to figure out "female pleasure and consent."

Quick Movie Facts (if you missed 'em):

Movie Title: Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups

Director: Geetu Mohandas

Cast: Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi

Release Date: March 19, 2026 (Scheduled)

It’s definitely a weird situation since the movie is so highly anticipated after KGF 2. I guess we'll have to see if the Censor Board actually makes them take it down or if this just ends up being free publicity for the film.
