OH MY GOSH! Stop everything! Have you heard?! It's been all over my phone for like, the last day or so and I just can't believe it! Okay, so, you know Taylor Swift? The pop star? And that football player, uh, what's his name again? Travis Kelso? No, wait, Kelce. Kelce. Yeah. Well, they're like, engaged! Can you believe it?! It’s a love story, and baby, she said yes! Literally!

I saw it on Instagam, I think. Or maybe it was on Threads, I get them mixed up. Anyway, they posted this big, splashy announcement, like, a joint post. It's so cute. They had all these pictures of them in a garden, with flowers everywhere. He was down on one knee and she's just beaming. And the ring! Oh my god. It's like, a dinosaur egg on her finger. It's this huge, sparkly thing. Some jewelry person said it's like a half-million dollars. I could buy so many cats with that money.

The caption they wrote was the best part. They said, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married." I literally cackled. It’s so perfect because she's, you know, a songwriter, so she's like the English teacher. And he's a big football guy, so he's the gym teacher. It's just so wholesome.

Okay, so I’m pretty sure this all started a while ago, right? I remember hearing about him on his podcast, which he does with his brother, Jason, who used to play for the Eagles. Or is it the Chiefs? I get those two mixed up all the time. But Travis, I guess, tried to give Taylor his phone number on a friendship bracelet when he went to her concert. But he couldn't even meet her after the show! So he talked about it on the podcast and Taylor heard about it and, well, the rest is history!

She started showing up at his football games, which was wild. Like, she was in the box with his mom, Donna, and they were always hugging and stuff. It was like a whole public thing, but they were so cute. And he would fly all the way to her concerts on his off days to see her. It's like, they really are in love. My friend said it's like a modern-day fairytale, which is so true.

And the timing! It's so perfect. They just announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, and she even went on his podcast to talk about it, which is so funny. Like, who even thought a massive pop star would go on a sports podcast? But they did, and now they're engaged.

My coworker literally leaned over to me in a meeting yesterday and whispered, "Taylor Swift is engaged." It was the most important thing that happened all day. I think the whole internet broke because of them. Everyone is so happy. I mean, they're both, like, in their mid-thirties, so it’s about time they found their forever person, right? My mom keeps asking me when I'm going to find my Travis Kelce, and I just tell her to chill out. Some people get a fairytale and some people just get to live vicariously through them, and I'm totally fine with that. I can't wait to see what they do for the wedding. I bet she'll write a song about it!
