Day 12 and Still Shining Bright: Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra's Unstoppable Box Office Run!

Gosh, I can't believe I'm writing this. I've been so obsessed with Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra since I saw it. It was like, the best movie ever? Kalyani Priyadarshan as a superhero? A-MAZING. Anyway, let me try to remember the box office numbers, but you know how it is, I get my dates and numbers all mixed up. My brain is like a sieve after watching that high-octane action film.

Okay, so I think it was Day 12, right? The movie had been out for, like, forever, almost two weeks already. It was a Monday, so you know, the collections are always a bit sadder on a weekday after a big weekend. It’s like everyone goes back to work or school or whatever boring things they do. But even then, Lokah was a beast! A total monster hit!

I read somewhere that on its 12th day, it made, like, a whopping ₹5.75 crore. Can you believe it? ₹5.75 crore on a Monday! That's just wild. Wait, let me check that... nope, my bad. One article said that, but another one said it was only about ₹0.29 crore. Ugh, see? This is why I get so confused. One minute it's a massive hit, the next it's... well, a smaller massive hit. I think the ₹5.75 crore was for the entire day, and the ₹0.29 crore was maybe just for a specific state or something? Or maybe it was just a really, really rough estimate. I don't know, it's all so confusing.

But get this, even with the Monday drop (or was it a jump?), the movie's total collection was already out of this world. I think it crossed the ₹80 crore mark, which is just insane. I mean, it's a superhero film, but it's not like a big Hollywood one. It's a Malayalam film! And it's doing so well. I saw one report that said the total was ₹82.89 crore. Then another one said it was ₹88.25 crore. I'm telling you, the numbers are all over the place!

The worldwide collection is even more mind-boggling. It was like ₹186.3 crore in the first 11 days, which is just... what? That's so much money. It's like Kalyani Priyadarshan is a real-life superhero who can make money appear out of thin air. It’s the third-highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year or something, right behind L2: Empuraan and some other film I can't remember the name of. Thudarum! Yes, that's it! I knew I'd remember.

So yeah, on Day 12, Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra was still going strong. The numbers might be a little hazy because, you know, I'm just a normal person and not a fancy trade analyst with a supercomputer, but one thing's for sure: it's a HUGE success. Like, the kind of success that makes you want to go watch it again, just to add to the total. I'm already planning my third viewing. Maybe fourth. Who's counting?
