From Weekend High to Monday Low: Param Sundari's Box Office Plunges on Day 4

So, Param Sundari, the movie with, you know, Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, came out on a Friday, right? I think it was August 29th.

The weekend was pretty good for them. It went something like this:

Friday (Day 1): Rs. 7.25 crore. Not bad, a solid start.

Saturday (Day 2): It went up! Got like, Rs. 9.25 crore. Weekends are always good.

Sunday (Day 3): Even better! They hit like, over Rs. 10 crore. I think it was Rs. 10.25 crore, which is a great number for a Sunday, you know, everyone's out watching movies.

So the weekend total was, if you add that all up... hmm, let me do the math in my head... 7.25 plus 9.25 is 16.50, and then add 10.25... wait, no, that's not right. Hang on. Let me get out my calculator app. Okay, so 7.25 + 9.25 + 10.25 = 26.75 crore. Yeah, that's the number. So their first three days were a good haul.

Now for Day 4, which was a Monday. And everyone knows what happens on a Monday, right? The dreaded weekday drop! People gotta go back to work and school and stuff. So the collections fell, like, a lot. It was a pretty big dip, which is totally normal. They only made about Rs. 3.50 crore on Monday. 

So, the grand total after four days is... let's add that up, too. Rs. 26.75 crore from the weekend, plus Rs. 3.50 crore from Monday. That makes... 26.75 + 3.50 = Rs. 30.25 crore. Right on the money! So the movie crossed the big Rs. 30 crore mark in just four days, which is pretty impressive even with the big drop on Monday. They should be happy with that.

It's just a little funny how much it dropped, though. From over 10 crore on Sunday to just a little over 3 crore on Monday. It really shows how much the weekend audience matters. But hey, it's still making money, so I guess that's all that counts. I mean, it's not like Saiyaara which made, like, a zillion crores in its first week, but still, for a rom-com, it's doing alright.
