Ah, yes! The SA20 auction. So many big names, so much money flying around. It's wild how some of these guys, who were like, kind of new to their IPL teams, just went bananas at the SA20 auction.

First up, the guy who broke the bank. You know who I'm talking about. The one and only... Dewald Brevis! I mean, "Baby AB" is the perfect nickname. He was a replacement player for CSK, right? I think he was with them in IPL 2025 because someone got hurt. Yeah, I remember reading that. And then, at the SA20 auction, BOOM! The Pretoria Capitals just went all out for him. They bought him for a massive R16.5 million. That's like, over 8 crores in Indian money. Crazy! It's because he's a young guy and he showed he can hit the ball a long way. So, yeah, CSK got a good thing going with him. He's one to watch out for, for sure.

Next on the list, from a rival team, but still a big star, is Aiden Markram. He was with LSG this year, and I'm pretty sure he was the captain for Sunrisers Hyderabad before that, but then they let him go and he joined LSG. That's how it works, right? One year a captain, the next year, you're not. Anyway, he got picked up by the Durban Super Giants for R14 million. That's a huge deal, almost Rs 7 crore. He's also the captain of the South Africa T20 team, so they're getting a leader with a good bat. He's a solid, reliable player, not as flashy as some others, but you know he'll get the job done. I bet LSG is pretty happy with him, too.

Now, from Sunrisers Hyderabad, we have Wiaan Mulder. This guy was another injury replacement, I think he came in for that Australian fast bowler, um, Brydon Carse. Right. And he just got a massive deal with the Joburg Super Kings. Like, R9 million! That's a cool Rs 4.5 crores. What a great deal for him. He's an all-rounder, which everyone loves, and he obviously showed enough in the IPL to get noticed by the SA20 teams. Good for him.

And let's not forget Gerald Coetzee. He was with the Gujarat Titans, and they had a pretty good team this year. He's a fiery fast bowler, and the Durban Super Giants wanted him for a good price, too. They paid R7.4 million for him, which is about Rs 3.73 crore. He's a young fast bowler, and you know how much teams love those. They can bowl fast and get wickets, so that's a perfect combination for T20 cricket.

Then you've got Nandre Burger. I swear he was a replacement for Rajasthan Royals, because they lost their main pacer, Sandeep Sharma, to an injury. Yeah, I think that's it. And Burger, he went to the Joburg Super Kings for R6.3 million, which is around Rs 3.2 crore. I mean, he's a left-arm pacer, and everyone knows how useful those guys are. They bring a different angle to the attack and can trouble batsmen, so it's no surprise he got a decent paycheck.

And finally, we have two guys from Kolkata Knight Riders. I remember they won the IPL a few months ago, so they must have a good squad. Anrich Nortje, the speedster, he was with KKR, and he got a good deal with Sunrisers Eastern Cape for R5 million, around Rs 2.5 crores. He's super fast, and every team wants a bowler who can scare the batsmen. And then there's Quinton de Kock. He was also with KKR. He's a veteran, a wicketkeeper and a big hitter. He went to the same team as Nortje for R2.4 million, which is about Rs 1.2 crore. It's a good price for a player with so much experience.

So there you have it. A bunch of IPL stars, some of them new, some of them veterans, all getting big money in the SA20 auction. It just shows how connected these two leagues are, and how much a good performance in one can lead to a big payday in the other. It's all about that T20 hustle, you know?
