Anyway, I finally remembered to check for you, and here's what I found. It looks like the movie is a total smash hit! On its 15th day, it made around ₹3.85 crore. That's a solid number for a weekday, right? And that's not even the best part. That single day's collection pushed its total India net collection to a whopping ₹101.70 crore! Can you believe it? Over 100 crores! I knew it was doing well, but I didn't realize it was that well.
It seems like the movie's a big deal not just in Kerala but all over. The articles I read said it's doing great in other languages too. The Malayalam version is obviously the biggest, but the Telugu and Tamil dubbed versions are also contributing, which is pretty cool. The worldwide numbers are even more bonkers. Apparently, it's already crossed ₹200 crore globally, which is just... mind-blowing. It's now the fourth-highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time! That's insane, isn't it?
So yeah, in short, Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra is a legit blockbuster. My friend was right. I should probably listen to her more often. Maybe I'll finally get around to watching it this weekend.
