Still Terrifying Audiences: The Conjuring: Last Rites Haunts Box Office on Day 5!

Gosh, it's so hard to keep track of all these movie numbers, you know? They change like, every minute! But let me try and put it all together for you. I was just reading about it a little bit ago.

So, The Conjuring: Last Rites, which is the last one in the series I think, came out and it's doing super, like, really good. I mean, it's making a ton of money. It's the fifth day now, and here's what the latest news says.

India Box Office Collection

Okay, so I saw a couple different numbers, but they all are kind of in the same range. It had a huge opening weekend. Like, a really, really big one. I think it made something like 55.5 crores in its first four days. Which is like, a lot of money. But for day five, which was, like, yesterday, it made about 5.50 crores. One site said 3.04 crores but that was only for part of the day, so the 5.50 number seems more right. So the total for India is now over 60 crores! I think it's 61 crores, if I'm doing my math right. Man, numbers are so confusing. It's already, like, a record-breaking horror movie in India, which is so cool.

US Box Office Collection

The US numbers are, like, even bigger. The movie opened with a whopping $83 million over the weekend. That's, like, a new record for the franchise, which is crazy since it's the fourth main movie. For day 4, which was Monday, it made about $5.70 million. I couldn't find a super specific number for Day 5, but it's probably gonna be around that same number, if not a little bit more. So the US total is probably getting close to $95 million or something. Maybe more. It's doing so good.

Worldwide Box Office Collection

And this is the biggest one! The movie is killing it all over the world. It had a global opening of $194 million, which is, like, the biggest opening for a horror movie ever. It's already passed other big horror movies like It and It: Chapter Two. I'm pretty sure it's already over $200 million now. So, with the India numbers and the US numbers and all the other countries, the worldwide collection for Day 5 is probably... well, it's a lot. I'd say it's definitely over $200 million now. It's just a monster hit. A scary monster hit. Haha.

It's just so crazy to me that so many people want to go see a movie that's designed to make them jump out of their seats. I'd rather stay home and watch a documentary about, like, baby sloths. They're so cute! But hey, different strokes for different folks, I guess. The paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren would probably agree. Or maybe they wouldn't. I don't know, I've never met them.
