1) She's got an interesting background. Her full name is Mia Gypsy Mello da Silva Goth, which is a mouthful. She was born in London in 1993. Her mom is Brazilian and her dad is Canadian. As a kid, she moved around a lot, even living in Brazil for a little bit. She attended nine schools in a single school year when she lived in Canada. Her maternal grandmother is actually a famous Brazilian actress, Maria Gladys, so acting runs in the family!

2) She started out modeling. Before she was an actress, Mia was a model. She was discovered at a music festival in London when she was just 14 years old! She went on to work for big brands like Miu Miu and Prada. This helped her get a foot in the door in the creative world, but she always said acting was her true passion.

3) She broke through with horror films. While she started her acting career in Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac (which is a pretty wild movie), she really became famous for her roles in horror films.
