So, there was this pretty scary accident in Juhu recently involving Akshay Kumar’s convoy. It happened late Monday night (January 19, 2026), right near Mukteshwar Road, and it sounds like a real mess.

Basically, Akshay and his wife Twinkle Khanna were heading back home from the airport after an overseas trip. While they were driving through Juhu, a speeding Mercedes car came out of nowhere and slammed into an autorickshaw. The impact was so hard that the rickshaw lost control and crashed right into one of the security SUVs in Akshay’s entourage (I think it was an Toyota Innova).
The Key Details
Who was hurt? The autorickshaw driver got the worst of it. His brother, Mohammed Sameer, said he’s in "serious" condition and the rickshaw was totally crushed. Apparently, another passenger was trapped for a bit too, but locals rushed in to help pull them out.
Was Akshay okay? Yeah, Akshay and Twinkle were in a different car—the main SUV—and luckily they weren't hit directly. Some reports say they even got out to check on the injured people before the police took over.
The Culprit: The Juhu police have already arrested the driver of the Mercedes, a guy named Radheshyam Rai. They’ve booked him for rash and negligent driving under the new BNS laws (sections 281 and 125).
Current Situation: The family of the driver is asking for compensation because their only source of income (the rickshaw) is basically scrap metal now. Akshay hasn't made an official statement yet, but knowing him, he usually helps out in these situations.
It's crazy how fast things happen on Mumbai roads, especially with those luxury cars speeding late at night. The whole thing was caught on some viral videos, and you can see the security car actually tipped over on its side.
