Cruz Beckham Shaded Mom Victoria? Why He Just Liked a Viral Meme Mocking Her Dance

Whew, the Beckham family drama is absolutely exploding right now. If you thought the "Wagatha Christie" trial was a lot, this new rift is giving it a serious run for its money. It honestly feels like a soap opera at this point, but with better outfits and way more Instagram followers.

Here is the full tea on what’s going down with Cruz, Brooklyn, and Victoria’s... uh, interesting dance moves.

The "Explosive" Statement from Brooklyn

On Monday, January 19, 2026, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham finally broke his silence with a massive six-page statement on his Instagram Stories. He basically went "nuclear" on his parents, David and Victoria, saying he has no plans to reconcile with them.

The most viral part of his rant (which is saying a lot, because he also claimed they tried to bribe him to sign away the rights to his own name—yikes) was about his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz. Brooklyn alleged that:

The "Hijack": Victoria supposedly "stole" his first dance. It was meant to be a romantic moment between him and Nicola, but Marc Anthony (who was performing) allegedly called Victoria to the stage instead.

The Dancing: Brooklyn didn't hold back, saying his mom "danced very inappropriately" on him in front of all 500 guests.

The Trauma: He said he’s never felt more "uncomfortable or humiliated" and that this was why he and Nicola felt they had to renew their vows in August 2025—just to "wash away" the bad memories.

Cruz Beckham Enters the Chat (Subtly)

While David and Victoria have mostly stayed quiet (David did some interview on CNBC saying kids "make mistakes"), their youngest son, Cruz Beckham, has been very active on social media.

Instead of posting a long defense, Cruz has been "liking" memes that basically troll the whole situation. It’s a bit of a "wait, whose side is he on?" moment. Here’s what he's been hitting the heart button on:

The "Pony" Meme: Comedian Olly Hume posted a skit pretending to be the wedding DJ. In the video, he announces a song "requested by the mother of the groom" and then plays Ginuwine’s "Pony" (you know, the Magic Mike song). Cruz liked it, which fans took as him finding the "inappropriate dancing" claims hilarious.

The Throwback Clip: He also liked a post from the account Culture Enquirer that showed a video of Victoria from 2001 performing "I’m Not Such An Innocent Girl" in leather pants, with the caption: "The wedding dance in question."

Why Is This Such a Big Deal?

It’s honestly messy. On one hand, some people think Cruz is mocking Brooklyn for being dramatic and "soft" about a mom-son dance. On the other hand, some think he’s trolling his mom because he knows how she gets when she's had a few drinks and the music starts.

Interestingly, Cruz previously defended his parents back in December when rumors swirled that they unfollowed Brooklyn. He posted that it wasn't true and that they had actually been blocked by Brooklyn. So, Cruz seems to be firmly on "Team Parents," but he’s clearly not above laughing at the absurdity of it all.

The "Brand Beckham" Fallout

This whole thing is a nightmare for "Brand Beckham." Brooklyn’s statement even explicitly mentioned that his parents care more about their "brand" and "public endorsements" than their actual family.

"Family 'love' is decided by how much you post on social media... Brand Beckham comes first." — Brooklyn Beckham (paraphrased from his IG story).

It’s definitely a weird time to be a Beckham fan. One day they're doing a cute Netflix documentary dancing in their kitchen, and the next, the eldest son is accusing his mom of "grinding" on him at his wedding.
