Kartik Aaryan Paycut: Actor Waives Off ₹15 Crore for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Loss.

It looks like Kartik Aaryan is making headlines again, but this time for being a "producer's actor" rather than just a box office star. Following the release of his latest film, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, reports have come out saying he took a massive paycut of ₹15 crore because the movie didn't perform well.

Here are the deets on what actually happened (and why everyone is talking about it):

The Box Office "Storm"

The movie, which also stars Ananya Panday (their chemistry was actually decent!), released during the Christmas 2025 window. Usually, that’s a goldmine for Bollywood, but it ran into a massive "Dhurandhar" storm—that other movie just totally took over the screens.

Budget: Around ₹90 crore.

Collections: It only managed to scrape together about ₹32.95 crore net in India (worldwide it was around ₹47-49 crore).

The Result: Since it was a big-budget Dharma Productions film, the losses were pretty heavy—estimated at nearly ₹100 crore for the makers.

Why the ₹15 Crore Paycut?

There was a lot of gossip (as usual) about Kartik having a fallout with Karan Johar or leaving his agency, DCAA. But the reports say it's actually the opposite. Kartik reportedly stepped up and voluntarily waived off ₹15 crore from his fee to help ease the financial burden on the producers.

Honestly, it’s a pretty mature move. He’s basically saying, "If the movie doesn't make money, I shouldn't be the only one taking home a massive check." It’s a rare thing in Bollywood where stars usually want their full payment regardless of whether the film is a hit or a total disaster.

Not the First Time!

Remember Shehzada back in 2023? He did something similar there too. When that film hit a financial crisis, he gave up his acting fee and actually became a co-producer to keep the project afloat. It seems like he’s trying to build a reputation as someone who stands by his producers when things get tough.

What's Next for Kartik?

Even though Tu Meri Main Tera (man, that title is a mouthful) flopped, his relationship with Dharma seems solid. He’s already filming Naagzilla (cool name, right?) which is also co-produced by Karan Johar. So clearly, there's no "bad blood" there.
