Mirai Box Office: Day 2 Sees a Massive Surge in Footfall

OMG, so I was trying to figure out the Mirai box office collection for Day 2, and let me tell you, it's a mess of numbers, just like my room on a Monday morning. You get one report saying one thing, and another saying something totally different. It's like everyone is just making up numbers as they go.

Okay, so I found a few different reports, and I'll try to put it all together, but don't hold me to it, because I'm just a normal human being who gets confused easily.

First, there's this one report from some website called Sacnilk. They're a big deal in the box office world, or so I hear. They say the movie made around ₹14.5 crore on Saturday (Day 2). That's, like, a big jump from Day 1, which was ₹13 crore. So the total for two days is ₹27.5 crore. That sounds pretty good, right? A movie making more on its second day is always a good sign. It means people actually liked it and told their friends to go see it.

But then, I found another report from Republic World. They're also a news source, so they should be trustworthy. They're saying the movie made ₹13.45 crore on Day 2. That's a little less than the other report, but still a growth from Day 1. The article also broke it down, which was helpful. It said the Telugu version made ₹10.75 crore, and the Hindi version made ₹2.5 crore, and the other languages made a teeny tiny bit. Their total for the two days was ₹26.50 crore. See? Confusing already. One says ₹27.5, the other says ₹26.5. Pick a number, people!

And get this, there was another article that said the Day 2 collection was a shocking drop to ₹6.11 crore! A drop! After all that talk about a good jump! They said the total was ₹18.36 crore for two days. What in the world? It's like three different movies came out. That's why I get a headache looking at these reports. My friend told me not to believe all the early estimates, and now I see why.

The worldwide number is even more confusing. One article from Hindustan Times said the movie made a worldwide gross of ₹55.60 crore in just two days. That sounds HUGE. Another one, from Koimoi, said it was ₹50.92 crore. So, you've got ₹55.60 and ₹50.92. What's a crore here and there, right? But for a movie, that's a lot of money!

So, in conclusion (or, as much of a conclusion as I can make with all this), the general consensus seems to be that Mirai did pretty well on its second day. Most sources agree that it saw a jump in collection, which is a great sign. The numbers are just all over the place. Let's just say it made somewhere between a lot and a whole lot of money on Day 2. And the two-day total is definitely over ₹25 crore, which is pretty awesome for a movie that isn't from a big, well-known superstar. Teja Sajja is making waves, and I'm happy for him. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go lie down and take a nap after trying to do all this math.
