Wow, okay, so I've been keeping up with Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra since it came out, and can I just say, what a ride! My brain is a little mushy with all the numbers, but I'll try my best to get this right. I was trying to figure out if it's a Malayalam film or if it's just the best Malayalam film ever, you know? It's all a bit confusing with all the different language collections and whatnot.

So, here's the scoop on Day 20, which I think was a Tuesday? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Tuesday. Anyway, the movie is still making a bunch of money, which is wild for a movie that's been out for this long!
Day 20 Collection (India): Okay, so this is where it gets a little hazy, but from what I saw, the film pulled in an estimated ₹2.75 crore net on its 20th day. That's for all the languages combined, you see. So that's Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and I think they even released a Hindi version? My friend swore they saw a poster for it.
Total India Collection: This is the big one! After Day 20, the total India net collection is sitting pretty at around ₹124.9 crore. Can you believe it? That's more than a hundred crores! I remember when I thought Manjummel Boys was going to be the biggest thing ever, but this is giving it a run for its money. It's already the second-highest-grossing Malayalam film, and people are saying it might even beat L2: Empuraan! That's just crazy.
Worldwide Numbers: And get this, the worldwide gross collection is already over ₹250 crore! Like, how does a movie make that much? A lot of it is from overseas, too. I guess all the Malayalis living abroad are going to see it. It's making like ₹110 crore overseas alone. Insane!
Occupancy: I saw some numbers about how full the theaters were. The Malayalam shows were, like, nearly 30% full on Day 20, which is still good for a weekday, you know? The night shows were even better, almost 44% occupancy. But in Telugu, it was only like 15%, so not as popular there, I guess.
My brain is a bit scrambled with all the big numbers. I tried to write them all down on a napkin, but I think I spilled some coffee on it. But hey, Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra is definitely a blockbuster, and that's the most important thing! It's super cool that a movie with a female superhero is doing so well. It's about time, you know? I hope Kalyani Priyadarshan gets a sequel or five. I'd watch 'em all.
