Sundar C’s Purushan Movie Teaser Out: Vishal and Tamannaah Bhatia Team Up for a Comedy-Actioner

So, some big news just dropped today! (Actually, it was just earlier this Wednesday, January 21, 2026). It looks like Tamannaah Bhatia and Vishal are teaming up again with director Sundar C for a new movie. The title teaser just came out and honestly, it looks like a total riot.

The movie is titled "Purushan" (which I think means "Husband" in Tamil). In Telugu, they're calling it "Mogudu".

Here’s the Scoop on the Teaser

The teaser is pretty funny and a bit different from their last serious action movie together (remember Action from 2019? That one was all serious stunts and stuff).

The Plot Vibe: Vishal plays this super meek, "obedient" husband who is basically doing all the housework while Tamannaah’s character is the one calling the shots.

The Big Twist: While Tamannaah thinks he’s just a softie making tea in the kitchen, a bunch of assassins try to attack him. Vishal basically turns into a beast and beats them all up without her even noticing!

Yogi Babu: He’s in it too! He plays their neighbor (and apparently a TV actor in the movie). He has some hilarious lines about what it really means to be a "husband of the year."

Why This is Cool

This is actually the fourth time Vishal and Sundar C are working together. They did Aambala, Madha Gaja Raja (which took forever to come out lol), and Action. It’s also Tamannaah’s third time working with Sundar C—she was just in his hit Aranmanai 4 recently.

Quick Deets:

Music: Hiphop Tamizha (they always do the music for Sundar C movies, right?)

Produced by: ACS Arun Kumar and Khushbu Sundar (Avni Cinemax).

Genre: It looks like a classic Sundar C "commercial entertainer"—lots of comedy mixed with over-the-top action.

It’s kind of funny to see Vishal playing a "docile" guy after he just finished that heavy climax shoot for his own directorial debut, Magudam. Anyway, the movie is aiming for a Summer 2026 release.

I'm pretty excited because Tamannaah and Vishal actually have great chemistry on screen.
